About Us
Your Story – Shakespeare’s Word – Live Music (And two drunks!)
Rattlepole! was founded in 2024 and has spent the last year and a half entertaining the students of UCL with improvised Shakespearean tomfoolery in bar and black box theatre venues. Working with suggestions from the audience, we put on an original Shakespearean play complete with live music and tech… and two lucky audience members are given the tools they need to send on a drunken cast member at any point during the show.
We want to help change the fear of Shakespeare that echoes through youth and adults alike, and hope by throwing in some booze, dramatic underscoring and of course making it up, we might make the bard a slightly less terrifying figure. Indeed, to those who love him already, we hope to help shine a new light on oft-trodden ground.
This is Shakespeare like you’ve never seen before, and never will again!
